Get Party Ready – with the Face Mask

Shafayra Ahmed

Glam time is just round the corner and just because you will be wearing a face mask doesn’t mean you should let it stifle your creativity or stop you from going all out with your gorgeous beauty look!

With the mask covering up most of our face, our eyes form the most visible part of our face.

Here are a few tips on the best eye make up you can wear with your face mask on.

Before I begin, do remember that if you are wearing a light coloured dress then go for a brighter colour for your eyes and if you decide to wear a brighter attire then I would say you go for subtle/softer colours.

Smudge Free Makeup with a Bright Face Mask

  1. First moisturise your face and particularly your eyes.
  2. Use a primer, so that the eye makeup sticks and does not move.
  3. Apply any matte shades of your choice browns, maroons, blacks. Do note that you should not choose the same colour as your mask!
  4. Use an eyeliner, if you wish to.
  5. Use concealer under your eyes to brighten eyes.
  6. Use kajal and a stroke of brown shadow waterline.
  7. Brush off your eyebrow in shape and apply mascara in the end.

Dark Green Eyes with OR without Mask

Who does not like green shade with a bit of shimmer! We all love it, right! But do keep in mind to choose the right green shade for both your skin tone and hair colour.

  1. Moisturise eyes and use mild primer on the eye lids.
  2. Hold a piece of tissue under your eye to avoid any glitter.
  3. Apply a maximum dash of green to pop up properly.
  4. Use under eye concealer to brighten up your eyes.
  5. Apply kajal on your waterline for a more defined look.
  6. Apply a stroke of light brown shadow on the waterline.
  7. Brush off your eyebrow in shape and apply mascara in the end.
  8. You can wear lashes if you wish to enhance the eyes.

Smokey Nude Makeup for Non-makeup Girls

If you are someone who does not take fancy for makeup, but want to still get the perfect made-up look, here is what you should do:

  1. Moisturise your complete face and eyes.
  2. Use mild primer on face and eye lids.
  3. Apply foundation/compact on face.
  4. Hold a piece of tissue under your eye to avoid any glitter spills.
  5. Apply a mix of dark and light brown eye shadow on the eyes.
  6. Apply a bit of glitter just on the centre of the eyelids gently with your ring finger. With an eyeliner brush if you wish to!
  7. Use under eye concealer to brighten up your eyes.
  8. Moisturise your lips to avoid cracked lips.
  9. Apply your favourite nude lipstick with lip liner.
  10. Brush off your eyebrow in shape and apply mascara in the end.
  11. Apply blush on your cheeks and highlighter on the touch points.

Purple Smudged Smokey Eyes

  1. First moisturise face then use a primer on eyelids.
  2. Apply any matte shades of browns on the brow line followed by any shade of matte purple on the eyelids.
  3. Apply a dot of white highlighter on the corners of your eyes.
  4. Use concealer under your eyes to brighten eyes.
  5. Use kajal and a stroke of brown shadow waterline and a dash of purple under the waterline.
